At Chapter 360 (Volare Novels transfer) I absolutely love this story. Essentially Fang Xiangjian will only live 5 years with no positive emotions like love, though he still has rage, lust, and gluttony. In exchange, he now has unparalleled sword talent. Did you take two years to reach level 20 in sword basics? He reaches it in two days. He's the typical cultivation-obsessed MC that gets irritated and kills when interrupted, but otherwise, doesn't give a **** about their politics. There are constant hints about a large conspiracy but nothing too concrete. I love the way he breaks logic constantly and the way the world is introduced seems to be very logical. Try it out, though it only starts getting good around Chapter 20-30.

But what's the point of cultivating just to die at the end? Just for revenge? So his plan is to cultivate, take his revenge and then die? Doesn't sound much interesting tbh... Or is it that 5 year death thing put there so that mc can surpass it or something?

I honestly don't know. The story mentions it at the beginning and it's the reason he refuses some otherwise spectacular deals from major organizations. Other than in those cases, it truly doesn't have a lot of impact on the plot. I think it is more like a goal to hurry the plot along and something to build suspense. You might think it's boring but it's truly not the focus of the story.

The story is about Fang Xiangjian who loses all positive emotions. He has a sense of justice but only anger and rage remain. The story is essentially non-stop action/cultivation where he shows off his unbelievable skills when swords are involved and his opponents being wowed because of his skills and then executed. His opponents don't underestimate him, the MC's just too OP to be fought with common sense and anything less than several nukes.

Yeah, the MC will live for 5 years. Still, when you can become wold destroying awesomeness in three years, it doesn't really matter. Great book, give it a go.
