agreed, that's exactly when I decided to drop this despite powering through all the previous stupid plot choices the author made. it's interesting how useless the QI ratings are compared to the NU ratings. there I trust that novels about 4 stars have a high chance of not being crap, even if I don't enjoy them. Here, most novels have greater than 4 ratings, even if they're really dumb, like this one.

Yes. This novel is really over-rating. I really dont know why. They really enjoy it? Or what... Plot is chaotic. More fillers and brainless characters. Author wanna show how GOD Mc is with many assasin skills , but then everyone seems to know her secrets. For whattt?!?!? Just this point alone make me wanna smash my head. So the fact that MC has a super cheat skills didnt make this novel more interest. I read it till 100+ chapters and the story didnt go far. I just drop it.

Lmao omg this is so true. But I'm curious so I will continue to power through this story. I was always confused about the currency, sometimes it's silver, then there gold, every now and again it is paper dollars. Why would they have paper money and silver/gold as well. And they sometimes change up how much something costs and it's so confusing.

Im curious why they use dollars in Chinese novel especially Ancient Era 😂

OMG bY goDS YOU ARE ME!!!! I've found fellow kin!!!! I was arguing with my sister about the "dad" situation. She told me: The dad stop her bullying because he didn't know the degree to which it went to. Dad didn't like daughter cos she useless, he didn't help her cos he was waiting for her to stand up to it herself. Also, daughter reminded him of his wife's suicide. ANd then I was like. YO. THAT GIVES NO JUSTIFICATION TO HIS ACTIONS. Also, he should have stopped the bullying regardless, and if she reminded him of his deceased wife, then shouldn't he have treated her better? ALso, even if she was useless, timid, all that shabang, SHE WAS HIS DAUGHTER. You should love your own children, NO MATTER WHAT. Not doing so, and giving yourself excuses, warrants no space for any justification towards his awful actions, or more so for the matter, lack of actions.

The rating inflation is because they combine translation quality with story rating. If they're going to ask for both, show both. Grrrrr

Not everything people do are justified though, even in the real world. No everyone can conform to that set of ideals. And besides, if seeing her and putting the blame for everything on her makes him feel better then that's his choice. He isn't the brightest father and surely doesn't deserve the best father of the year award but that's how the author wrote him out to be. And besides, her reminding him of his wife isn't exactly the best thing in the world to him since that topic is still a sore subject to him. There's so many reasons for his actions. They may not be right but they're reasons regardless.

As it progresses it becomes the too typical cliche that it is just too... Nonsense. But still read on. It gets good. Maybe the author had problems how to make the other charactets reveal and meet themselves

256 chapters in. It has an intriguing premise and I kept hoping for it to get good. It did have its moments here and there. However, it just keeps getting worse. On top of that the translation is so bad it's at times it's almost incomprehensible.

Thank God I read this! Some of the novels I read I dropped, especially after skipping a crap ton of chapters it became to cliche and insane that it changes the original story adding plot twists at any time to better the story. However that ruins the original story and excitement as it became to cliche and unrealistic. Of course most novels show some unrealistic details, but as the who story is based on the unrealistic detail, it's normal and that's just how the story is. It gets really bad when adding additional unrealistic details that come out of know where! My example is Mr. CEO love me 100%, compared to me reading around the first 100 chapters it was pretty modern and the story unrealistic detail was hacking and that was acceptable as that's the main storyline but after skipping chapters, it's about the military and etc. It was too big of a change for me. Therefore I dropped it. Another example is Trial Marriage Husband Need to Work Hard. I love this story, it's my first webnovel and I love on how their relationship isn't based on the cliches of a contract and misunderstandings. However it seems like it took a small turn from the main idea of modeling to acting. One of the comments on their stated that it went from modeling to acting and said "what's next singing?" I fully agree with this I'm worried that the story will progress away from the whole point of the story "modeling". As this only have 300+ translated chapters and there's still 1200+ in total we can only wait and see. Overall I'm not a fan of major plotywists that doesn't have a reasonable connection with story line and only there to drag on the story, so this opinion has been extremely helpful.

Still, these reasons can't justify the sudden transition of his. One time he's nice, next he's overbearing, then next he's expecting that all his so-called "repentings" will get his daughter to forgive him for all the **** that he put her through for more than a decade and he STILL wants to use her and exploit any advantage that he could have for his own greed while masking it as something that's for the "revered" household/family that he never would have gotten without the help of the female lead's mother.
