There is zero reason for this to be as popular as it is. Plot is overdone and there are many better alternatives. Theres not enough chapters for any real development yet people are going crazy over nothing

LIKEI'd hardly call the translation quality top tier. The sentence structure could use more tweaking, the translator tends to allow too many overly long sentences with many adjectival clauses because he's following the chinese too closely. He also sometimes forgets to use prepositions and tenses or uses them incorrectly. Example: "Wow, this older sister looks so beautiful, not only is she beautiful, she is also seems very cold" That being said, the story is supposedly going to pick up, when I wrote this review there were barely 20 chapters out yet it already had an absurd amount of votes. In fact it still does today, im not saying its a terrible book. My main point is just that there's really nothing so good about this book compared to every other cheat-growth-system book out there to make it irrationally skyrocket in ranking immediately after release.
Inspector:I find this novel very relaxing and am usually filled with anticipation towards the next chapter to see the main character's cheat growth. The translation quality is top-tier. The story itself is written in a unique flavour. So I guess it is popular because it is capable?
The use of 'overly long sentences with many..." is an annoying aspect of this translated novel that does make an attentive reader's skin crawl. I personally didn't even notice it until another reader pointed it out in comments a few days back. My small brain was busy 'imagining' the story and was not free enough to focus on the actual sentences. About the votes, I think it was the synopsis of the novel that gained it so many votes. Initially, when I saw that a new novel has come out and saw its synopsis, I was hooked. Even before reading the first chapter, how I wished there were a thousand chapters already out! Then I saw the positive reviews at that time, as everyone else was also hooked, I became 'over-hooked' and so like a sheep following a herd, I also gave my two precious.. cough, votes. What I don't understand is how "Library of the Heaven's Path" is getting so many votes -.-''

Lol library of Heavens is fine. Better compared to this and it’s been release for a long time. Cheat, funny and all the face slapping and also not a typical system novel.

I mean theyre both just cheat growth system facesmacking books, LoHP has more chapters out and its main selling point is the whole teacher thing. I guess now we know that synopsis is more important than book content haha.

That was a red herring, gotta pull the attention away from my precious novel :3 Personally, I prefer the face-smacking of Zhang Ye from "I'm Really a Superstar." It just feels more natural. But as I said, it is my personal opinion. There has to be a reason that LoHP is so popular. I guess a well-written synopsis is a great advertisement tool for a new novel but the book content is just as important. The translation of Shadow Hack is kinda long winded, as you said before, the Chinese is followed too closely in the translation. Otherwise, the story is going awesome. The best thing? There are no arrogant young masters that are worshipped by the world and are death-bound enemies of the MC because they didn't like the MC's face. As well as, the MC is also not a "the-world-revolves-around-me" hot-headed character that can't be a part of the world system because he's way too awesome for it.
