Take the gene development theme out of the story and you get a guy who goes to another fantasy yet modernised world. His skill? The ability to increase the chance of success by increasing his luck. I mean, its kind of dumb to have a character who can manipulate luck and still have financial problems. Rather than using his luck to make money, he use it to create genes and whines about how its not ****** enough money. I've only read the first few chapters, maybe he would make more money later on but his initial strife does seem plausible for a man how can manipulate luck.
