The story is good but the mc is a dip****. Oh, you guys are doing something wrong. But I am too lazy to tell you about it. So I'll just watch you guys die and if ever for some luck you survive. First thing I will tell you is I told you so. Mc is a useless asshole and funny thing is, he think he is some kind of a hero.

Actually I think the scene you're referring to was one of the best moments in the story. He didn't have time to babysit a bunch of ***** morons 24/7 he had **** to deal with, think about what his choices were. 1: Ordering them to kill everyone without an explanation 2: Explain what's going on and then order them to kill everyone 3: What he did. All other possibilities would have been *****. If he went with #1 there would be people who would simply refuse, his authority over them was not firmly established yet, they might even start fighting among themselves with some of them protecting the enemies. Even if they would follow the order they would start harboring doubt and resentment for mc. The worst case scenario here is that they'd throw mc overboard and tell him to go **** himself; then they all get killed ofc because they're morons. If he went with #2 the situation wouldn't be much better, these kids would insist not to kill everybody because they would be convinced that it's not possible every single person besides them was an enemy, mc wouldn't allow that because he can't really, they'd be ****ed if these morons reported them which they were clearly planning to do; so again his authority over the group would be undermined, they would harbor resentment and doubt towards the mc for forcing them to do something they didn't want to do because they were still blind to reality, and the next time a similar scenario comes up he would not be able to contain the situation this well. Then option 3, what he did, these idiots learn a life lesson and mature a bit for it, sure 1 died but it was a fair price to pay to teach the rest the cruel realities of life, they'd never understand without things degrading that far in the first place. Mc did everything he could to minimize casualties and they all knew that he had told them he wanted to kill them all but they didn't listen, and mc knew that no matter what explanation he gave these morons would never listen to reason, but this way his authority is set in stone and they know next time if they want to be safe, if they don't want to lose more people, they would follow his orders. He's training them to be able to handle themselves, is it cruel? yes, but if he didn't do this, they'd all die anyways sooner or later, this was the only way to maximize the benefits for the group from such a poor situation. Next time they'll think twice before spilling the beans to some random friendly hostage, and they'll think thrice before second guessing his orders. It's a win/win/win, except for the guy that lost his leg and the other guy who died. But you know what was ridiculous? We don't know which guy lost his leg, and it was never mentioned after this chapter that he had any problems walking, in fact just a few chapters later they were trekking for a whole night!
