It is a solid novel. First 50 or so chapters are trash. But later on it gets so much better. It's a long and lonely journey of a wise sorcerer in a civilization that is facing its apocalypse. Overall in this novel there's no place for petty characters. There are no sorcerer antagonists (you'll see what I mean when you reach MC's future thoughts and read more of world building). It's unlike any other apocalypse/world invasion/wizard novel.
