Review Detail of Resurdus in Immortal Mortal

I don't always write reviews, but I feel like I had to for this novel. Despite all the praise this novel received, I couldn't even read past chapter 20. Here's why. First and foremost, the translation and update stability is top notch. Now to the main problem. The story have way too many plot holes. For example, he came from Earth to another world that is only similar to Earth, yet he assumed that everything is the same, especially herbs and other ingredients. He's a scientist, yet he magically possessed the ability to make realistic drawings of different herbs. Moreover, events just popped out of nowhere to force the plots. A beggar telling you he's good at making drugs, so you just hire him without any testing, make him your chief drug refiner, and give him a 50% share of your business? The MC is a normal scientist, he got pickpocketed. He got helped by someone to catch the thief, then he suddenly invited him into making a business contract because he can smell herb from that guy? Not to mention his follower literally got pulled away against her will to become an immortal out of nowhere. Two paragraphs later, it's as if he's already forgotten about her, and everything is back to normal. Was this so the author doesn't have to bother writing about the interaction with the girl? All in less than half a chapter. Does that even make sense? Then some assassin tried to poison him with the poison from a tree with heavy smell? He, a normal person who just suffered from a fail attempt at opening meridians, was careful enough to smell a cup of water in his room before drinking? Moreover, just as the Lords were talking about how to deal with him, he showed up for absolutely no particular reason. Why? There are no reason at all for him to show his face. The author was too lazy to write something like "the lord invited him", so he just make him show up out of nowhere. Then during the negotiation, the Lord offered him to succeed the throne as a test. He understood the intention but gave one of the most fake answer ever: for the greater good. And voila, the lord believed him. He said he wanted to become a drug refiner, someone offered him a spot in some drug making school. Yet, he magically understood that the one who offered help is trying to boot lick? ALL that in just 20 chapters. Also, the character's personality is just bland and boring. Typical cliche of good guy who magically understands every evil schemes. It's as if he's thinking from the author's point of view.

just to clarify, 2.5 star was taking the translation and update stability into account. The story, character, and world building are all at 1 star.

Spot on. The thing i hate most is his wife murder him for no reason while shredding crocodie tears. No explaination at all and left hanging there till chapter 800+ where he met her descendants. It was all about money but the author left us hanging for 800+

I agree. It also got me confused too when the mc asked about why not using cars. I imagine it to be in a world of cultivators, no modern technologies, no cp, computers, cars. How the fck a car was mentioned.

Actually, it gets a lot better later on. I also found the first 20 chapters to 40 chapters kind of unbearable, but the author starts to make more sense later

Many novels are made the same way. In the first 50 chapters, you may not understand but it get interresting after. Morever, most of us read just for fun. We may not be a die hard fan

The main. Thing is that he is not a scientist, he's a botanist and drug mamwe/refiner. He is very experienced with herbs. Also they said the place was similar to Earth in technology, they're not the same.

ResurdusLv5Resurdus

Uhh...as far as I can tell, botanist and drug manufacturer all belong to a group of people we call "scientist", cuz science, duh. Plus, no matter how experienced he is with herbs, there's no reason for him to assuming all herbs are the same as on Earth. Also, yes, technologies are not the same, and that's the point. How is he magically able to use a different type of technology without any training?

Just because you dont understand you make things complicated The tea thing had been guess by him all along its part of his plan in getting hell out of that city He knows the herb by reading and studying the books in his current planet and connecting the dots of similarities in the herbs on earth to the herbs in his current planet. His death in earth has some meanings to it and thats what we will know in the end of the story so why hurry If you dont like the story is okey but your deductions are not its too childish

So you want every single step to be detailed Try writing a short story let see how long it is?

First of all, exp. Now on to point number 1, he almost drank the tea. If the assassin acted a little more competent, the tea wouldn't have any smell at all, and he would be dead. Point number 2, when did he study the herbs? He reincarnated, the became a master drug refiner the day after. When did he have time to study herbs? And where did he find the books? What a load of crap. And where did his godly drawing skill come from anyway? Did he pulled it out of your ass? Point number 3, I didn't say anything about his previous death. I talked about how he showed up at the

I talked about how he showed up in front of the lord for no reason right after they talked about him. What give? It's not about details, it's about plot holes. Stop being such a fanboy over this crap.

Well if im the writer i will not kill the main character And the assassin had poor skills or maybe they are giving a warning to the main character because of the creation of penicillin is toping in the market so alot of drug stores feared the fast rise of the penicillin so they sent that assassin bla bla bla And you might not notice but in a chapter he had studied about the herbs in that world you might not notice but there really is a chapter talking about that but they didnt focus about it because he is a botanist so he is a master in that field yoy can understand it easilly Thats all

Well it happens all the time you talked about someone then yoy notice they are there infront of you Coincidence or what Its a natural happening in our lives And by the way why they loved it because of the character development From nothing to something thing he didnt have any special thing or power when he reincarnated which makes the story not op from the beginning And he become op because of his hard work So its really a great story The problem is qidan they locked a lot of chaps and increase the st from 4 to 10 So its really depressing to see this wonderful novel become like this

You know what you're doing right now? You guessing at the plots. That's what happened when plotholes exist. There are ZERO justification for the plot, so you're making it up yourself. And when everyone make their own guesses, the story go to **** because it's different for everyone. The single fact that he had the time to smell the tea before drinking in the situation he's in is already questionable. If you're dying of thirst, you wont be smelling a cup of water. Also, please tell me the exact chapter where he study the herbs? Also, the main point of him showing up before the lord isn't the timing. The main point is WHY? Why did he show up? He had zero reason to just appear. The timing is just add-on.

Plot holes makes a story good though It makes a story interesting in some sense Making your imagination go round is just the ways why the writer made this plotholes Its just cliff hangers your the one who decides the ending or the happening

I found the chapter 12 He ask a herb seller provide him some hebs where he list herbs that are unknown to the herb seller So he started drawing it and providing the use or characteristics of the herbs and the herbs seller recognized it So Mo wuji ask the owner of the drug store he is working to to provide pharmaceutical classics or books and gold because he intended to buy herbs to make a research So im not making things up try reading If you still dont believe it then i dont anything to provide you some answers Have a nice day fellow Daoist
