I can’t read Chinese so what’s the actual translation supposed to be?

Apparently something along the lines of "Master of the Era" or "Strongest of the Era"

The whole translation is horrible

Literal translation would be "Supreme of One Lifetime". The whole point of this novel is that, other lifetimes are not important, your previous life wasn't you, and your afterlife has nothing to do with you either. You are you only in this specific lifespan you're living, so do your best in this lifetime, and become someone who can decide one's own fate.
