Review Detail of Megumin_Explosion in The Sacred Ruins

The only reason I read this novel is for the humor.

Character design is crap. The villains are so one dimensional that the MC has no choice but to become one dimensional as well. All villains become enraged beyond belief with the smallest of provocations, without fail they threaten his family or friends (forcing the MC to become a killing machine before chapter 150) and the MC himself uses an irritating prick personality to avoid uncomfortable conversations but at times it feels more like a child running away from having to answer difficult questions by being irritating. The writer tries to make it the humorous part of the story but he fails because the MC always goes 1 step too far. Unless the author make him stumble because of this (which I doubt), this has become for me the most disappointing part of this story. And I find it so disappointing that someone who can think up the most incredible world building and background stories can also think up characters that are not worthy of such incredible world building.

Where is the humor you guys speak of? I've read 3 utterly awful chapters that where more dragged out than a january meme. It's dumpster fire, and if it wasn't for me trusting you guys, I wouldn't have suffered and crushed my expectations of this dumpster fire of a novel. Plus the translation is sooo annoying to read, could there be a worse good translation than this? Just fight the damn mosters alread
