First of all this novel has already been posted on here, but this translation is so much better that it's not even in the same ballpark. Props to the translator for that. Now I'll say what I said in my review of the last one. I have always been wary of any mtl where the system involves 'lying flat' or 'salted fish' because in every single one of those novels, you end up with an Mc that has no ambitions, no work ethic, no goals and puts no effort into anything. Basically they just do nothing in particular and the benefits passively roll in via the system. I have read about 50 chapters of the mtl and I can clearly tell you that this novel is the same. He basically just lazes around all the time and does nothing. He doesn't have any real goals, he doesn't train, he doesn't put any effort into anything at all. It was ridiculously boring and very difficult to make it through 50 chapters of him laying around, flirting with women(children) and airing his woes to the world while power that he didn't earn and doesn't know how to use passively rolls in from the system. With no goals you have no story, with no effort you have even less of a story. However again, I have to give kudos to the translator. I didn't even recognize this story as the same one I read until a couple chapters in. Infinitely better. Just the choice of story that you've put so much effort into is unappealing for me.

LIKEThe writing quality was rated at five in the review btw, I kind of feel bad for giving it such a low rating given the quality of your work, but the content of the original novel is just that poor. If you do any other translating work tho on different novels, this is definitely quality I would be willing to pay for.
I am translating 2 more fanfictions, one for one piece and one for jujutsu kaisen. And I'm planning to make a new fanfiction on my own for dragon ball, thank you a lot for the honest review <3

You're giving the translator a bad review (after praising him for his good work) because the original CN novel's genre/system isn't to your taste (salted fish stuff is literally 80% of CN novels, this is why you see so many passive system novels like check in system, choice system, bind system, etc). Interesting 🧐
I'm reviewing the work in its entirety so that people who come read the reviews before reading the novel get my honest opinion of the entire story. Isn't it completely useless to leave a review that doesn't say anything about the actual novel?

I do prefer reviews that say things about the novel, but yours in particular is just about your dislike for the "salted fish"(lazy mc) novels troupe. I haven't seen a Choice System novel where this isn't a thing so I'm not sure what you came here expecting. It's like reading one of those chat group system novels and reviewing it badly cuz it had a "pokemon harem", which EVERY single one of those chat group novels have, genuinely bro what are you expecting? Do you buy a chocolate bar hoping it's actually orange juice?

Okay, but the review is for people to read so that they can get an honest idea of what they are going to be reading. That's the whole point. I suppose it's also to give the author critique, but that wasn't my main purpose for the review and I made that pretty obvious by distinguishing between the story and the translator. And your correct that there are lots of Chinese protagonists out there that are given awesome powers by their systems without having to do much, but at least half of them actually develope those powers and expand on them and train and they still have goals they want to accomplish. This Mc literally does nothing. He goes beyond lazy to the point where there isn't even any plot because the Mc just doesn't do anything at all.

"Half of them develop their power" see that's the thing with the choice system, IT DOESNT EXIST!! literally the reward will be like how it was in the very first choice [Max Level Transformation Jutsu] ITS ALREADY MAXXED OUT. Furthermore when they do actually get like an intermediate reward from choice system they'll LATER get some kind of upgrade skill card or the advanced version as a reward, authors like to play it off and say it's all mcs efforts halfway through the novel by showing off his achievements but we all know it's BS. THIS is what you should be expecting, you read a choice system this should be the first thing in your mind if you're not a new reader, not what you were trying to say what you were hoping for with the MC in this novel.
