I'm genuinely enjoying the fic so far. The concept of not just isakai'ing as Mordred but having the servant as an Ignition weapon is new and awesome to me. It's been a while since I read Tower of God but I genuinely believe Mordred could defeat rankers and hold her own against them. But then again, it's just my opinion. Thank you for your awesome work, author-san!! Looking forward to more.

Yes, well, Mordred is very strong. But when I think back to the fight with Kaiser in TOG, and the feats of other top Regulars around the time of the Name Hunt Station (after numerous power-ups already happened in the story ), Mordred's strength would probably reach around that level, the level of Kaiser maximum. A Servant's top movement speed would normally just be Supersonic, just around the speed of sound/handgun bullet, among other things, and the Regulars' speed and destructive feats there seem similar to Servants from a Holy Grail War. Either way, it's only an estimate. By this estimate, the MC simply can't fight Rankers at least AT THE VERY START. It's at least that. That's not including his overpowered Noble Phantasm. We also have to know remember that all Regulars are like bugs to any Ranker, so a Ranker at full strength would probably be around at least ten times that. PS: more than 95% of Ranker's strength probably comes from Shinsoo, so I hope people don't look at Quant as an example of a Ranker's strength (and he still out-blitzed Endorsi when being serious just with his body alone, actually). I just felt it's a chance to comment. The picture below is of Ran's attack on the station, destroying the bridge and monsters on top of it, and he isn't even the among the top of D-rank Regulars, and it isn't his strongest attack, but compare it to a Servant's non-NP attacks... The MC is extremely strong for a beginner... But the Tower scales up quickly, where the speed of sound and raw strength of a Servant becomes unexceptional, probably. It doesn't matter much that he can't instantly fight Rankers though, since he won't do that before training.

A twist to the original Tower of God story. It's Author's Note, so it's obviously biased, but can be informative; it includes minor spoilers. Fanfic happens during the canon storyline, and the OC is smoothly inserted into the story, being an important character and a part of the main cast from the start rather than just being the background, meanwhile, the other side characters like Rak are still relevant and important. All events from the beginning receive minor twists while still staying faithful to canon. In my eyes, the twists are as big as they can be while keeping the Main Character’s personality of being pragmatic and not showing off without a purpose. This doesn’t change the core of the events much initially, but it culminates during the Crown Game that has the largest changes and completely changes the plot. What people can like or dislike is the fact that at one point the OC completely takes over Bam's role as the Main Character and the Fated Kingslayer (Mordred's theme), and Bam's importance in the story gradually shrinks to... nothingness. Even initially during the early tests, Isaac steals the spotlight because Bam basically... does nothing and has no strength at that time, so it just happens very naturally. I hope people accept that this is the story of Isaac Ainsworth and his sword/partner Mordred, and no longer Bam, who here takes a backseat. The OC is a Magus with the strength and abilities of a Saber Class Servant from the Fate verse. He's the strongest Regular on the 2nd floor, without having equals, which can also be a bit boring, but he's still far from the level of Rankers and has a lot of training to do. Apart from the initially known abilities as Mordred, he slowly discovers his other powers. The MC (OC) initially appears quite cold-hearted and selfish, being a Magus seeking power, but he slowly turns out to be somewhat of a Tsundere, being cold and merciless to strangers, but protective of and good to people that he holds dear. The Tower also changes him. Mordred’s role in the story is that of the MC’s friend and partner, and not a lover. While the MC is the logical one, she’s the chaotic, rash and brave one. Initially, she just provides commentary and hides inside the sword, which is supposed to change in the future. In general, the fanfic is an alternative Tower of God story with a different Protagonist with future knowledge, a stronger one, a more cold-hearted one, and with some twists and romance.
