For anyone wondering about garps power level, let me start with the size of the one piece world. Based on the stated width of the main river in alabasta, alabasta is 1/4 the size of Antarctica. The scientists at weather island said you couldn't count every island in the world if you counted to 20 million. Based on alabastas size in relation to the grand lines width, the grand line is as wide as the entire Earth's circumference multiplied by 2.5. A sea current so large that you could turn earth into a life sized flat map, and it would take 2.5 of them to cover from one calm belt to the other. This is not counting the actual length or depth of the grand line. Whitebeard had the power to destroy this world. No one in jjk had the ability to destroy the much smaller earth. Whitebeard was 4 years younger than garp, and during the god valley incident garp teamed up with Roger to fight xebec, not fighting whitebeard at all. We don't know who is stronger between garp and whitebeard, but at least garp could give him a fight since he was half as strong as xebec, who kept the entire rocks pirates obedient with sheer strength. (Don't bring up the world's strongest man title. Kaido is also a man and the world's strongest creature. Those titles were given by pirates, not a perfectly reliable source.)
