This story isn't very good. The plot is simplistic. The MC wants to protect his daughter and bad guys come at him from weak to strong while allowing him to get stronger. There is no reason the stronger foes don't come sooner. He beats lvl 1 foe then lvl 2,etc... He never uses his brain to delay his ennemies, he just goes with the flow and plot armour makes sure he is never in danger. The author tries to make us believe the MC thinks but he just bulldozers his ennemies, there is no finesse. He goes against ennemies without knowing their strength nor their background and by miracle he is always stronger. And the golden finger is too cheated. He gets 1 Dao fruit every year on his daughter's birthday. I stopped when he had 4 and the 4 were crazy powerful. I can't imagine when his daughter turns 20 years old. The characters are simple, you are either a good guy or a bad guy. The bad guys are bat shit crazy and people let them be crazy. The MC's wife is useless. She has no personality, no use whatsoever in tne story. MC does his thing and he doesn't confide in her. It takes too many chapters for her to cultivate even though she could. And finally, either the original or the translation is horrible. I'm not a native english speaker but I read many stories in english so I have a pretty good level in English. But very often I don't quite understand the author. The way the sentences are written is puzzling.

True. Plot is slow and simplistic. No surprise and we are able to guess what's going to happen next.
Although I don't agree with this review but there is nothing wrong with having different opinions. The only baffling point for me is that the story is so well written and the translation is also good except for the few gender issues in the last few chapters where the translators may have given up. The unique point of this author is obviously his writing style which is poetic, vivid and catchy. Of course everyone has different tastes. ✌️
