As someone who’s been reading Eastern fantasy novels for a few years, I will say you will be disappointed to hear that these broken marriage plots are like a sub-genre (similar to the sign-in/ proficiency ones). I'm unsure which novel started it, but many are similar to this or BTTH. The issue is finding one that keeps it interesting, and this one is off to a great start! It can be annoying picking up something you think will be new, only to find way too many similarities to a novel you had read prior, like I said, unfortunately, there are a lot of these scenarios in Chinese novels (the Journey to the west ones are the worst) the good side is that you’ll become a pro at knowing (usually from the first three chapters) if its not your cup of tea. Idk i felt like that was the point. It seems a little bit like a parody of Btth. That’s what makes it good and a bit funny to me.

Here’s If you’re looking for something similar to BTTH but without the harem element, unfortunately, I haven’t found many that fit the bill. There is one I’m currently reading about a Taoist couple who reincarnate together, with one of them having a cheat ability. It’s decent, but does not particularly standout. I’m also reading another one that barely touches on romance, and the main character only has one wife. In my opinion, it’s incredibly good, though it might feel a bit slow at first. The story picks up and gets really exciting in later chapters. It’s still ongoing, so I’ve been stockpiling chapters to binge later. The MC’s cheat, while not entirely unique, suits the story well—he gains improvement points, pills, martial arts techniques, etc., whenever his kids advance in cultivation. I won’t spoil too much, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for something different.

The one I am enjoying is called “My Son is about to Breakthrough 我儿快突破” The one with the Toaist Couple “ Husband and Wife Cultivate Immortality: Toaist Couple and I rise by Planting” 夫妻修仙：我和道侣靠种植崛起 I do have some i like that are Harem (not the ones that act like Pokemon, “gotta catch’em all) let me know if you’re interested.
