This is a very slow book. That being said, the slow and steady approach of the writer, introducing one character and situation after another, gives off a peaceful and serene feeling. In other words, I feel relaxed reading the story, even though the events in the story are far from relaxing. The ML and FL both are unique (not your standard main characters) and have composed character traits and their qualities bleed onto the reader, leaving them feeling inexplicably relaxed & satisfied after reading two chapters each day. The author's description of the scenarios have calming effects and carries the reader away from the usual "everything-must-be-fast" attitude that we have today. I find myself looking forward to reading their stories at the end of each day as a means to wind down after a hectic day. I'm definitely going to miss this story when it is completed. So if you're into a slow paced, slow burn romance with some intrigue thrown here & there, then this is the book for you.
