I didn't have great expectations after reading the reviews. However, after reading some of the author's works, I decided to give this work a chance, but my expectations for it were crushed immediately after the demon lord decided to pull that trick on the main character. Or after he returned to his friends after they betrayed him, and mixed with them again as if that betrayal had never happened. I mean, with his immortality his mentality should be completely different, not seeking relationships like mortals, because he has eternities if not eternity to be attached to whoever will fulfill him, not some weak-willed trash.

Sorry you feel that way, dawg. I believe immortality doesn’t erase the need for connection or make someone impervious to betrayal or emotional vulnerability. No matter how long a person lives, the pain of betrayal and the yearning for relationships is ever-present. (Let's not forget, he's technically still in his 40s—even if you're right, developing the mindset you're suggesting, at least in my view, would take much, MUCH longer.) I wholly disagree with your view on the character’s response, as it's a core part of their journey. But I appreciate you reading through and sharing your thoughts. Have a great day, and thanks again for the feedback!

Well, maturity is not about age honestly. I think he needs slaps from reality to wake up from that mentality, and I mean severe slaps because he actually received the slap, and he is still in denial.

Maturity isn't necessarily about age, true. But that aside, I believe we have different views on what maturity really is.

Anyway, keep going. I look forward to the moment his character develops.
