I really love this author’s writing style. There is such a nice mix of beautiful (yes, macabre can be beautiful) imagery, sly humor, and STRONG characters. I love that no one is a flat character, and each one has a distinct personality and motivation, even if I’m still learning what they are. Mel is so so intriguing. He’s very layered and the angst is just under the surface of all the brain-eating drama. There are times where I feel like I’m watching a horror move. The zombie world that the author has created is very unique, and I can’t wait to see where it goes. And for me, the touch of romance is icing on the brain-filled cake. 💜💜💜

I must say, this novel is so exotic! It's one of those novels that you'll need to read with some popcorn. The first chapter starts so heartbreaking and sentiment but then what happens next will shock you like electricity. If you like amusing written horror, add this to your library because it's worth it.
