I think the author is forgetting the backstory of the main character because his personality is moving further and further away from that of the great pretender and turning into a typical beta anime protagonist

It's worth giving it a chance, since in my opinion the fanfic will cover the "Disney" universe in depth compared to other fanfics in that you only go through that world once, complete the quest and then leave. so try darma chane it's worth it.
