Overall a very enjoyable fic. There aren't enough chapters to form a proper review but it's been entertaining so far. I will give a more indepth review when more chapters have been released.

Alright. Where do we start? First of all, technical writing. There is cutting down unnecessary chatters to avoid overly florid proses, and then there is being as dry as a desert. This fic falls in the middle, which is good for the most part - but in many places, you will see word choices and dialogues that are a bit of a mess that can disrupt the flow of the narrative and make things less enjoyable. The combat scene in the rescue chapters is solid though. The plot is adequately paced and overall doesn't deviate too much from the canon timeline apart from the main character. But talking about the character, this is the greatest sin of all: The failure to properly portray Leon as a genuine psychotic person. Yes, there are glimpses of the "dark" memories among the 3 sets of distinct memories being mentioned throughout, but they don't seem to mesh well with the rest of the plot very much. For example, the lack of reflection on said dark past and the subsequent psychological development (maybe this will be explored further but who knows). As a result, more often than not Leon's erratic behaviors like his typical creepy laughs and his whole-ass dialogues during the battle against the pirates can come off as being too tryhard that it becomes cringe. Simply put, it makes Leon feel like an edgy kid at times. That the trauma is only there to make it look cool, not a meaningful component of the story itself. But hey, the author's wall profile checks out. Edgelord all the way. Overall, it's okay for a B-tier fast food. Good enough for killing time, but certainly not enough that anyone with a half-working sense of taste would look forward to any new chapter. Also a note: The cover image is taken from a Japanese Mobuseka author without credit.
