I really do think it's crippling to a character not to have significant interactions with others and interactions begets relationship and of that, romance is included. I promise that it won't be off-putting but certainly, it'll be present.

First of all, the premise is very original and the main character is pretty alright. The world building is staggering for a novel with such a clickbaity and dull title, an apocalypse that happens in a magic world governed by a peaceful goddess of life and with nature-loving elves being forced to fight and kill is pretty cool and breaks the norm of the usual apocalypse. The progression is fine, typical in the genre, but the main character has a natural edge as he was prviously gifted with mana from the beginning. He just began to learn how to use his gift offensively, hence battle mage. So far there's a lot that needs to be developed yet, the grammar and wording can come out as weird at times. I would recomend the author using grammarly + quillbot to edit.

A story that thrusts you straight into the action and is as epic as they come. MC is a survivor, and he isn't pathetic in the slightest. I'd definitely recommend you to give it a try.
