Review Detail of Owler in More than a Dragon Warrior

2 words: Major Disappointment. Spoilers Ahead! You have been warned. The problem, as I see it, was the inability to fully flesh out the characters, especially Tigress. She's supposed to be hardcore on the surface, but mellow once you peel the onion's skin. (Shrek reference) She should have a broken heart from Shifu's neglect. Seeming emotionally unavailable and doesn't trust people easily. She should have an inferiority complex with Tai Long, and when he healed her, she shouldn't just accept that he's not evil and go about her way, she should try to understand him better and remove her preconception and prejudice bit by bit. His awkwardness with Shifu should strike a desire for her to understand him more. And then stuff happens and she would realize how hurt he was. The more she gets to know him, the more she trusts him and the deeper she falls for him. She starts becoming awkward in his presence and absent minded when he's not there. And yet she just accepts that he's not 'Evil', says how she feels openly and acts cute..................................... Another one is the Male Lead, Tai Long. He's supposed to have found inner peace but is far from it. The allure of this fanfic for me was how Tai Long would interact with the characters. But the moment things stepped out of Cannon, the story spiraled into ish*. Tai Long Focuses on being the strongest because reasons. Tigress was bought from Walmart. Action, Action, Action.... Learn this move, learn that move. Info Dump. Forcing the narrative. Nockoff Tigress removed from being FML to being "like" his sister. And then what next? Tai Long going on a journey away from the Main cast of Kung Fu Panda? Why don't you make an actual novel? just change the name Tai Long to something else and let him go on that journey... Here's how my experience been reading the novel: Oh, this is cannon. There's small change here, I see. Cannon. Cannon. Cannon. Fight. Cannon. HE'S FINALLY INTERACTING WITH THE CHARACTERS YESSS. Cannon. Fight. Cannon. Fight. Cannon. Relationship between Tai Long and Shifu. Disappointment. Disappointment. Disappointment. Disappointment. Review. Sadly, With Great Quantity(of chapters), Comes Great Loss of Quality.
