About time I write myself a review with shining five stars (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)!! I would've done so in the 10th chapter but I felt embarassed lol. But now that I'm 51 chapters in, I implore readers to give my book a chance. Pros: 1. Good quality writing (wink) 2. Characters that feel real (as real as I could give!) 3. Diverse emotional range of story, prose and everything! Helpful in creating a image scape! 4. Lovable MC who's most of the times stuck in moral crisis (wink) Green flag ML, these two have a very healthy relationship! 5. Some 3d side characters with past of their own. Vivid and emotional not flat like a sheet. 6. I have a decent sense of humour too. Cons: for you to decide! Humourous plot at the start, things will get very, very conflictedly exciting in coming chapters! I promise! Now, Trust me, things will not be as simple as they seem, right now, after finishing the first volume, this author is in the second volume of this story which revolves around one of the main supporting characters! Currently at chapter 69- I look forward to when the next chapters come out. This book has humour, great characters and great action scenes. Plus a beautiful relationship brewing between the MC and ML. I love the writing- it’s very poetic at times as well as so funny and sweet. The other characters are fleshed out too. Hu Lijing has such an interesting back story so I hope things get better for him.

So first of all, The writer has very good writing with a very profound depiction of surroundings. Moreover, the characters have a distinct voice and you can clearly tell, it's the ml. The writing updates are stable and qualitative throughout which is lovely and over all a very immersive read.

The synopsis alone was enough to catch my attention. I love the plot. The word building was too good. It helped me to imagine the scenes well. The story made me completely hooked. I'm looking forward to the future chapters. It's worth reading. Keep up the good work author😊

If I must say, I really enjoyed the story after reading a few chapters even though I was a little confused at times lol. So far, I do admire the comic relief that binds the relationship between Li Xinyuan and his assistant, Hi Lijing. Although I am not a fan of Bl novels, the premise of the story taking place in the setting of a novel, sets a genuine and intriguing foundation for this book making it worth the read.

Do you enjoy good laughs, fun character dynamics and intense dramatic action? Well this novel is for you. I’m not really into this genre but I appreciated this authors level of literacy and ability to tell a compelling story. Well done author 👏👏🥳
