I know right when he said about her being his ghost in death and that she shouldn’t try to run away because he will always find her and he won’t be as amicable like she’s a child not your child either you are manipulating a child so she can keep him warm at night and look after his children that aren’t much younger than her. Is there a time skip or is it going to keep showing how a near 30year old is grooming a child bride

It’s creepy and disturbing. Crosses lines in so many ways. If you ignore the overbearingbrute husband and skip those sections it’s not bad. But she really should kick him to the curb. There were so many missed opportunities for her redemption and freedom that were wasted in the novel. Would love to see a rewrite with alternate endings.

Realistic in a sense that it's ancient times hence the setting of their union. What I find a bit uncomfortable is that there's an emphasis in the age difference and how the ML has the 'grooming' attitude. Then again, it would make sense with the setting but it's giving an ick to me honestly. Tbh I only read few chapters but this isn't my vibe.
