like what if he accidentally impregnated the love interest or someone else and so he has to to take care of them

Thats a possibility because Lu Sheng is stupid and he has no control over his own desires. He is also easily to prone to guilt so in guilt he can take responsibility of a child. I can see that at first he will do everything in guilt, sometimes affection but later he will get tired or bored or feel chained, burdened and will only do the bare minimum or if some conflict happens he might leave or take out his anger or frustration on the child or the mother. He is a selfish guy, not by choice but by his own personality, he does not want to do harm, he wants to stay away from others because of this but if forced, he will prioritize himself over a child in most scenarios except hard moral choices, he has a good heart but lazy one.
