It's always a pain to have to point this out. I'm not going to complain about the fact that you're inspired by another work to create your own, that's the whole purpose of fanfiction. But copying an entire plot from another fanfic, in addition to completely paraphrasing the first chapter, without at least pointing out its source of inspiration is an insult to something that drove you to write this story. For those who need context, I highly recommend reading Magic at Nevermore by WanderingCauli on ao3, same story, better writing.

Yeesh my first one star... but I can't help but think you're exaggerating a bit "copying an entire plot from another fanfic" Other than the setup being quite similar the consequent chapters are completely different Magic at Nevermore takes place post canon. This one doesn't other than the first chapters idk. Yes I was inspired by WanderingCauli's fanfic I wrote this cause I was suffering from post fanfic withdrawl and decided to make my own story wasn't aware I needed to cite my source of inspiration but hey you live and you learn. I'll throw a shout-out in the synopsis.
