Let's just start off by saying, all critiques below, aside... I enjoyed this, and look forward to more. It's a fun idea for a combination, author, and I hope you continue it. So, that said.. Biggest critique: the author doesn't strike me as as being SUPER thorough with character details or to seem to know the material of either the Addams Family or Harry Potter extremely well. Character detail issue: as an example that pops up a few times in different ways, in the early chapters the character talks about muggle studies and it's clear that they're pureblood and don't know muggle society. ... But within a chapter ends up quoting a famous American Muggle author from memory, which is just layers of odd choices for a pureblood wizard. Not only is he reading muggle authors, he reads them enough to be able to quote _poignantly_ on topic, all while going to Wizard school in Scotland and having a full academic schedule as he, I assume, prepares for his Newts or Owls, or whatever year he's supposed to be. Second issue (as an example of not knowing the settings): Grandmama (the Grandma in the stories,) is literally called a 'witch' or fortune teller; has a big warty nose, brews from a pot, spouts curses and hexes at people, uses voodoo, etc. It's not a thing that shows up in Wednesday (IIRC) YET, but I wouldn't be surprised--AT ALL--if magic of some variety shows up a bit more in the next season. It's not at the level of HP, so MC would have a huge leg up still, but acting like he's some unique unicorn is just weird. Lastly.. he's a Slytherin (cunning, ambitious), and not stupid, yet he apparently can't keep from spilling the beans about his coming from another world through more that ONE conversation with Weems, or ONE day of knowing Wednesday. Like, I don't care that he spilled, but he apparently does, and just can't keep a secret to save his life?

I really liked it until I realized that the MC took over the story events of Thorpe and Hyde. They aren't even mentioned and Wednesday doesn't ever meet them. I don't know if that changes but if this is just gonna be a repeat of the show with the male love interests replaced, I'd rather just go see the show again. Also, his simping for Wednesday feels forced by the author. Not even to mention how he is supposed to be a pureblood Slytherin and he is ok being around werewolves and vampires. Hopefully, we can get a better background on him because his actions aren't matching the background the author gave him.

MC spills his secret by chapter 10 and doesn't think before using spells I would think that living in the HP world originally he would understand not to use magic Infront of muggles...............................................................

The dude is supposed to be a slytherin, and he acts like an idiot. Spills his secrets in 2 days to a stranger for no reason besides "plot." He trusts everyone, even though he was ripped from his world and dumped at Nevermore. Interactions are forced. Needless drama. Pass.

I figured I'd give myself a review, do I actually think this fanfic is perfect well no but If I didn't like the story I created I wouldn't have posted it. I started writing this story because I thought it was a fun idea and quite liked the characters in Wednesday (all my knowledge about that universe came from the TV show). I'm honestly surprised this story was so well received. At the end of the day, I'm writing this for fun (I'm still very much an amateur) so I hope people reading this also have fun while reading and don't take it too seriously.

Overall the story is a really great read and the character interactions are spot on. The characters don’t feel copy and pasted and the story flows well. The only real issue I have is that the MC is obscenely weak even at the so called 50% power nerf. So far only uses the most basic spells even when fighting a monster so he’s either a bad study or the author preferred to nerf the MC in exchange for certain character interactions which I don’t like because it makes the MC look weak even by wizard standards. MC gives off “lover not a fighter” kinda vibe. Cool but equally as useless as Xavier it seems. All in the the only discontent I have with the story is the MC and if the author did this this early it makes me wonder what he’ll sacrifice for the “interactions” In the future. Keep up the good work.
