In my own understanding, this MC doesn't need an academy to grow. He only needs to grow stronger, and then, find the beast evolutionary resources himself. I don't understand why self-sustainable MCs have to go to Academies.

Connections, schools are about learning how to learn and connecting. Friends, colleagues, possible spouses, teachers and civic leaders. Most of the time you get a foundation of learning, and learn good study habits , work under pressure and how to research in schools. They seldom have exactly what you will need for your next job, but they do offer tools, and different ways of doing things.
Ok I wrote this before reading the story. While I stand by what I wrote this story has no story it’s whatever cliche they want to write at the moment with no real continuity of the story what’s said a paragraph or 2 before is ignored if it gets in the way of the current cliche. So if you want a fun romp through all the cliches and don’t mind the story contradicting itself every few second go ahead and read. It’s so bad it’s sort of entertaining . But if you want a story that makes sense and stays consistent with itself , go elsewhere .
