I can say for certian that most readers are not looking for harem in Soul Land. While there are some waifus, each have an issue that has to be resolved that would make it an absolute chore to solve and then you have to worry about getting other chicks. Of course you could just have plot armor and every girl falls for the MC immediately but that quickly becomes boring when you have read the hundredth harem fic and all you see are MCs collecting girls like Pokémon, and when they get stale they disappear from the story. I like harem fics, but only if the MC is not an absolute scum of the earth, which from my experience on this platform is like asking for a piece of hay in a stack of needles.
