After about 40 chapters and the closure of a somewhat bigger event in the story, I decided to write a more serious review of the novel. First of all, the power system is interesting with all the unique gifts that the characters possess, especially the abilities of the MC that I'm most interested in, being all mysterious in some aspects, leaves some room for speculation and theory crafting. I like the world-building of the novel, it gives off a more gloomy, dark fantasy feeling, with the middle age setting and the persecution of the Gifted people. The characters and their interactions with each other so far are loveable, I like that, the author tries to show that not all hunters among their ranks are complete monsters or psychopaths. As for Talon, I like his type of character when it comes to an MC, being this street kid who is wronged by the world, running from his demons, but still refuses to give up and grabs every opportunity to be stronger just to spite everyone who hurt him and protect his friends. If I have to compare him to someone, I would say he has some similarities with Sunny from Shadow Slave. Overall a decent character. As for the writing quality, there are some typos here and there, but no major issues, and as I see it the author is working hard so that this story could be an enjoyable experience for the readers. In my opinion, I enjoy the story so far and I recommend giving it a try for those who are interested.
