First, I want to thank the Author for their hard work, creation is hard! I am greatly enjoying this book, the characters are fun and interesting and not 1 dimensional. I like FL and ML, theyre adorable together! It’s refreshing to see such a loving, caring and supportive family like the FL and ML. I also find that the system is fine, you’ve not put too much info in about it and it hasn’t been turned into the main character, it’s perfect just as it is. Now, onto what I’ve not given 5 stars for. There are more than a few issues with the translation. Not enough to fully take me out of the immersive story world that you’ve built. However, enough to become mildly annoying. Gender pronouns have been often wrong as well as familial or relationship titles. There’s also been a few instances of names written incorrectly. I also would like more fleshing out of the world itself. This is China most likely in the 80’s based off of the multiple mentions of coupons and the wording of the times. However, a lot happened in the 80’s. So, when is this taking place? Apparently some people from Japan will be appearing for a trip so this does open up the book to world information outside of China. It would be nice to know the timeframe as well as some more info about their country and other countries during this political time. It seems that all of that strife will affect the FL and ML lives so it would be at least somewhat important to know. Overall, I greatly am enjoying this novel, recommend it and will continue to read it thus far. Thank you again for all the hard work to the Author. Please take my words not as criticism but instead as someone on this journey with wanting to see you and your work at its best!

LIKEHmm, thinking about what FL said about the youths coming soon to the countryside and when ML grandpa hid their treasures. I'm starting to wonder if this is happening in the 60's or 70's instead of the 80's. I think the youths were sent out from 1962-1979. So, it's possible that all of this could all be occurring during this time frame.
I haven't seen anything about the little red book yet and she mentioned that the college students who are in college now won't be able to get their degrees. I think it was from 1966-1976 when the colleges were closed down. So, honestly based on all these I'm leaning toward the year she is in now is either 1965 or 1966. I think all of this so far has occurred before " Red August".
