It's a good story, I really like the setting, the translation, and the world building as well. The one thing I absolutely hate is the FL, which is a pity because the entire book revolves around her. She has such a good cheat, yet she never utilises it. For some reason, she keeps on hiding from her neighbours. She only leaves the room when the coast is clear, which leads to a whole bunch of rumours about her being lazy (which she is), arrogant, ugly, and timid. There was a scene where a fellow doctor came to instigate divorce between the ML and FL through the deans order. The ML tells the other doctor to mind his business and that no one compares to his wife (🥹). Moments later, she overhears this gossip about her through a few mosquitos, but the mosquitos didn't talk about the ML reply. Instead of asking him what happened, she gets mad over this. Like this bitch didn't even hear the full story, and now she decides that she's mad!!! There's another scene where she overhears a doctors wife and a female doctor called Yu Shiya talking about her. The wife tells Yu Shiya that the FL is unworthy of being the ML wife and that everyone thinks Yu Shiya would be a better match for him. That's someone's opinion, right? No, this bitch takes it as the ML and Yu Shiya secretly loving each other, and that she came in between them. HOWWWW?????? How did she manage to jump to that conclusion??? Lastly, there's a time when the female lead decides to run a milk tea stall near a high-school (which, btw, she decides to hide from the ML, as if he won't wonder where this bitch is at the entire day), but she'll need someplace to put all her equipments. She can't put it in the family compound because she's hiding her business from everyone. Luckily for her, just as she was pondering, she overhears two couples fighting over their sons' tuition fees. The husband, being a wife beater and an alcoholic ran through the money. The FL comforts the woman, and in the process of that, she sees a huge yard. So, she immediately asks her if she can rent out the yard to put her items, her EXPENSIVE items, might I add. Then, she says she'll pay her a combined 15 yuan per month, 8 yuan for holding her items there, and 7 yuan for transporting her items to the school. First of all, that shit is so expensive, secondly, BITCH DID YOU FORGET ABOUT THE WIFE BEATER AND ALCHOLIC LIVING THERE?!?!?!?!?. How does this idiot brain work is all I wanna know. Oh, and I'd like to add that all this happened in less than 40 chapters, and believe me when I say there's so so so much more that I withheld from writing. Why ruin such a good book with this kind of FL. P.S. If there's a book with the setting kinda like this book, set in the 80s or 90s with a caring ML, and a FL who has brains. Please send it to meeeee!!!
