For a man whose supposedly an "emperor" of the "New World Order", he acts like a total cuck, a pushover and a hotheaded loser that just completely throws away any common sense. Furthermore, why would you ever let the mc be like this? I can understand that he just wants a normal life with his wife, but to make this as irritating as possible by not doing the obvious simple solutions like, I don't know, maybe eliminating all of them one by one in an excruciating way? Like I get that you need word count, plot, drama, and etc. But what is it really for? A typical Chinese story plot of face slapping?Look, all I'm saying is that this story could be better if the mc had the attributes of a man whose achieved unimaginable greatness. I never intended to be actually malicious, it's just that I was annoyed by the mc more than a lot of the (current) antagonists combined because how he acts despite his upbringing.I hope this was helpful.

real classy bad review for a story you likebut I must admit it does drive you crazy at some points if you read on. MC want to stay principled and not be violent but others push him to retaliate

I just felt burnt out from reading stories with too much face slapping.

Desmond_Soliare The story definitely development till that point. Some people just need to give their opinions without tearing others down for it. Your justified for your criticism as all writers want to give their best and learn from different people in order for the readers to enjoy their book. That's why they say give me your opinion even if it's a ‘ I love your story’ or ‘ the plot has turned a certain way I don't like cause of plotholes etc’ everyone need criticism to make things or themselves better period so don't apologize

To begin with, thanks for reading. Finish all of them at one go? Every character has its relevance and most side characters have their sub-plots that will play out at their own pace. I feel your criticism is of the urban son-in-law genre in general, which is also fine. I am not in a hurry to finish all antagonists and wrap up the story like a T*ktok video. The first arc has a main antagonist and several annoying minor ones. They'll be eliminated in due time. My MC is neither a cuck nor hotheaded; don't know which book you are reading. He had retreated into a certain personality to give up his old life, and that's about it. Victor has strong, inflexible principles which he will never let go. Of course, there's plenty of exaggerated drama but that is intentional. You're free not to read if you don't like such writing styles. Anyway, thanks for your review. I definitely like critical ones, but I don't agree with anything you said. Peace.

Was James the the antagonist of the first arc or is it the puppetmaster?

The first arc was more like an introduction arc with multiple mini-antagonists who keep getting serially stronger. The Puppetmaster will remain Victor's arch nemesis.
