You shouldn’t give books a bad rating off of things that are just personal preference. Some people like villain mc books some people like Simp mc books. It just depends on your taste in characters. If you’re gonna leave a review, you should be objective about the writing in the world building.

villainous MCs do a lot of immoral things and people have the right to criticize such immoral actions whether a story is good or not is subjective but only if it doesn't promote any immoral actions if it does then it is bad regardless of peoples opinion.

Not quite you can not like a story and it still be a good one personal preference decides whether you like the story but even if you don’t you can rate the book objectively like the world building if the story is repetitive character development spelling you can and should rate these things objectively even if you don’t like the type of character the story is about.

I can relate to that but at the same time I’ve read books with mcs that are really bad like in one I read he k*lls his sister who was a good person and cared about him just because it made him stronger I hated that and I dropped the book because that was real messed up but I still did an objective review on their writing and gave them a good review because even though I hated what was happening and the character, the book itself was still well written.

There are people who like how the MC of a certain novel is at a time and don't want him to change and that is there opinion one cannot say they are wrong world building is also subjective there are people who praise the world building of one piece but I am not very attracted to it and there are others who feel the same the author of a novel can be repitetive and there can still be many who like his novel you can judge how good the translation of grammar of a novel is and you can also judge the updating stability of a novel but the story itself is subjective as long as it doesn't promote immoral things if don't believe me regarding the subjectivity of story then you can ask chat gpt I have done that before.

I believe a story that promotes immoral things not only deserves a bad review but it should be banned and the person who wrote it must be held accountable and at least be given a slight warning.
