Out of spite I want to rate this a lot lower but I am holding off on that since it doesn’t cost money to read. Just be aware that the first 10 chapters are a prologue and the presented MC at the start is not the actual MC. The author tried to be clever with the whole ‘you don’t know this is a prologue’ thing with the justification that it is actually a memory inheritance for the actual MC but that doesn’t really hold up well when thinking about it. For instance, why are there other people’s POVs in the memories even when the initial MC isn’t present? It really feels like a cheap retcon of the story with retroactive justification. But alas, it is a free story so I have no right to expect certain things. Just know that the initial MC isn’t the actual MC and it might make the shift more smooth. After venting this I’m going to pick it back up since the writing style is actually quite well done.

I get what you mean and I was trying to hide the fact it was a prologue so I had to add details that you guys could munch on. If I had just one perspective someone would ask why and that would end up ruining the surprise. I may just go back and edit all that to put together a better prologue but just know that the whole reason the prologue had as many details as it did was because it would slowly lose details as time goes on. TL;DR: Prologue was supposed to be a surprise and that’s why I made other POVs but wasn’t thought through with the whole “memories” thing.
