SPOILER!!! I just finished reading the raw of this and it was so sad, they didn’t end up together in their past and present lives. Ming Jing chose her destined path which is to become a Buddha and left all her loved ones bitterly weeping for her abandonment, especially Qu fetai who sacrificed his own voice just to meet her again. Thankfully the author got his/her conscience back and they met again in the future and hopefully they fulfilled their goals and end up together.

And I might add that Ming Jing is going to die as a mortal if she chose her desires. Don’t blame her for her ‘heartlessness and cruelty’ because she had no choice in the first place. It was so heartbreaking to the point I shed tears everytime I remember her last words to him, she didn’t even said goodbye to everyone aside from Qu Fetai. Being a destined Buddha is great and all but I know being on top of the high platform, a supreme being overseeing everyone in the world accompanied a never ending loneliness :<
