First of all, the book never ends. 665 chapters and then they abandoned it. They try to imply that it's in America. They were American cities. But everything about it screams China (including one chapter where they forgot to change the Chinese yuan to dollars). The things people do to one another over and over are highly illegal in the west. Things like that happen in China however. Almost every character gets kidnapped at least three times, there's an awful lot of violence, the understanding of what things are legal or illegal things that happen in business or don't happen in business is not there. It vacillates between sounding like a 14-year-old wrote it or a Narcissistic psychopath. Apparently, if somebody upsets you enough, you just send them to the mental institution. Of course this is if you have time from being in hospital. Everybody also ends up in hospital several times showing up with wounds of absolute torture and no one bats an eye. In the west the police or social services - anybody would've been called. In one chapter two characters out swam four piranhas which happened to be hanging around outside a cruise ship in the sea. If you don't know why this is ridiculous then this book is for you because you have no education. However, a lot of illness and disease even lameness can be healed with pills or ointment prescribed by a doctor. Your doctor may be a foreigner or just a lad who also runs the local pub prescribing pills from behind the bar. The translation from Chinese to English has been an adventure apparently. Somebody who would have a 'fit of depression' is translated to seizure so you have seizures with your depression. It is the most ridiculous and sick "book" I've ever read. There is great mystery around why the author stopped adding chapters apparently. My best guess is having read 300 chapters of this book, they've been kidnapped and locked in a mental institution being tortured, but it's okay the ointment will fix it all.
