Most obviously start with rereading the novel and removing all the repeating paragraphs. Then decide what the realms will be called, rather than constantly changing the names. For the characters one it's different for everyone, but start with giving them reason for their actions. Finally try and explain more about the world beyond 'there are demons here, there are monkeys there...', not as an info dumps, though.
