First off the grammar is pretty good, there werent any mistakes that i really noticed on that front. i like the dynamic of the relationship between Coraline and Irene. how Coraline did something really f***ed up and that she has to keep up that secret to maintain their relationship. Theres a lot that can be done with that. I like how Coraline is protrayed as a calculating woman, and the fact that she finds rumours about her unpleasant is very human. some novels just have the characters not talk about it, or theyre portrayed as not caring which i just cant wrap my head around. The characters actually seem real with their baggage and personalities, another thing that is usually difficult for other authors. all in all i think this could be a very intriguing read for someone into this sort of novel.

This is a beautifully written novel. The characters - just 4 chapters in - are exceptionally crafted. I can vividly imagine Caroline being a real person: a kind soul carrying an unfathomable weight with her and facing the unfairness of life with the best she can. Irene, an angel on Earth, doing her best to support her friend, her lover. I'll be honest. This isn't my favorite genre to read. I love action, adventure, epic fantasy worlds. But, this novel will be one of the few exceptions to the rule - I can already tell. I'm extremely excited to see where the story goes and (hopefully!) to discover some kind of happy ending for Caroline.

I like your character. I always enjoy someone who makes plans and works towards achieving them. It isn't someone evil either, so that's some points too. I wouldn't mind more information about the world in general and the important figures, but that's asking too much in the first chapters. I'm guessing it will be explained later and more progressively to avoid being an info dump.
