Luke is from our Earth streamer who uploaded videos on Pokemon to earn money. One night after uploading a video on a strategy (I don't remember the exact name but it is his first video in the fanfiction), the next morning he woke up in an Earth where pokemon invaded and eventually the era came to where all those characters from the Pokemon world are (including Red, Blue, Green, Gold, etc.). Almost everyone except for the Master Trainers (Red, Blue, Agatha, etc.) don't use these unconventional and troll-like strategies to win Pokemon battles. After he posted two videos, he realized that his is no longer in his world and world where Pokemon is real. At first, he thought he can become a Pokemon Trainer as that was indeed his dream, but after finding out the mortality rate, risks, and dangers that come with the profession in this world, he decided he would not pursue this career and focus on earning money through streaming videos on various Tactical Strategies. A system 'Trainer Development System' was bound to him after this. Which pushes him to eventually become a Trainer even if he doesn't want to, at least that is the premise. Later on he also uploads videos on cooking and even develops a game 'Plants vs. Zombies' but with Pokemon in replacement of the Plants and Zombies. I am not sure if he uploaded anything else as I stopped reading after chapter 92 to write a review. This is my understanding of the setting of the fanfiction. I honestly found the grammar and writing quality to be okay. It can certainly be improved. But it is somewhat readable. Hence, I give it a 3 for Writing Quality. I am not really sure what the update schedule is like as there were over 200 chapters when I started reading this novel (today), so I am giving the score to what the average score shows. Hence, I give a 4 for Stability of Updates. The story development is okay. I find the events that transpire to be interesting to some level. Luke interacting with his audience via livestreaming platform (Birelli not sure if I spelled that right), participating in class (even if for a short while for exams or a seminar with Professor Rowan teaching, taking part in a rookie competition (though not sure why it is named Piplup Competition), meeting with Champion Cynthia and battling with Lance borrowing Cynthia's Spiritomb, etc. were good. I liked the personalities of Ghastly > Haunter and Eevee. Their personalities and actions really helped in keeping me engaged in the novel. The novel briefly mentions Luke's parents and uncle for a short time. To be honest, I felt that the only reason they were introduced at all was so that Luke meets Eevee and eventually includes Eevee as his pokemon. I didn't really find the other characters, especially his classmates, counselor, and teachers to be more than 2-dimensional. They felt more like stepping stones or background supporters to making his skills and knowledge appear even more incredible in the world setting. That is not to say his knowledge and skills aren't. Considering that almost everyone, except for the gym leaders, elite four, and champions don't know or utilize the various strategies we consider basic, Luke's knowledge and skills in the Tactical sense are valuable. I just find it a bit over the top. Especially since in the later chapters (not sure when but it is before chapter 92) it is hinted that the 2 of the 5 strategies he uploads on the platform are similar to Lorelei's and Faulkner's just more better. As for Luke's character design. I don't really have a problem with it. Though he wished to pursue the Pokemon trainer dream, he rationally decided to not pursue it due to the risks and dangers of it. He tries to earn money through streaming. Though his pokemon (Haunter and Eevee) 'betray' by training and getting him into situations where he partakes in pokemon battles and training, he supports them 'reluctantly' because he cares about their happiness. I guess several things I don't like about him is that he doesn't realize that him having these strategies, commanding skills, his pokemon training themselves along with their talent/skills, and the items provided by the system provides him to win pokemon battles with those who are considered rookies. Him being forced/tricked to joining a competition when he specifically joined to be a Teaching Assistant for the Magic Academy's Training team. He gets several skills from the system as rewards: Cooking Lv 1 (by chapter 92 it is Level 3), Pokeblock crafting Lv 3 (by chapter 92 it is level 4), and Programming Lv 3. The reason I bring this up is that it is mentioned several times that Luke cannot sell his pokeblocks which he makes (Master level to almost Champion Wallace level) due to not having the appropriate license. I get that there a high chance of possibly being detained for questioning and jailtime, but the author doesn't mention Luke trying to determine the process to potentially getting the license. Should Luke be able to earn a license for it, he would not have to struggle too much for earning money to pay for the expenses in taking care of his pokemon. I can understand that should that be taken away there would be a lower chance of him being forced to become a pokemon trainer, but I honestly feel that the author could have to thought of something else like still having his pokemon force their way like they do so far. As for his Fan club who consist of several gym leaders, Red, Blue, Green, Gold, Lance, etc. I think they are only there for bringing comic relief and providing training methods to Luke for his pokemon since Luke is inexperienced in that department. Cynthia seemed interesting with her introduction and interactions, but that could be my bias for the character showing. From what I got, she seems to be the love interest as well. Overall I give it a 3 for Character Design. I found the world background okay. Not much different from the games, anime, novel, etc. There is the Oriental Region were Luke is living in. I am sure that there is Kanto, the Orange Archipelago Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Sevii Islands, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar. I assuming Orre, Fiore Fiore, and Paldea regions are also included. So far the novel mentioned Team Rocket but no other Evil Teams. Hence I give World Background a 3.
