owww! that intro sounds really intriguing please bring it to being well I don't understand the process you use to bring a book online so that we can read the whole thing. I've started so many books and they only get as far as chapters 40, if we're lucky. then months and months pass and we still don't get any updates. some books its'sokay, but then, there are books that you check every day for updates because they are really good.well that's just my opinion ☺️great story

trial read is when 40 translated chapters of webnovels (usually voted for via pilot read) are released over the period of a few days. purchased chapters, comments, and reviews act as votes for the book during that week. usually 2-3 books will be chosen to go to the next step, which is voting. if they're not in voting and there's only 40 chapters, they probably didn't get picked and aren't active translation projects on webnovel. being high in votes doesn't mean instant translation. Once, we had to wait a year and a half even tho the story literally had millions of votes. but the longer you keep a book on the voting list, the more likely you are to get a full translation. sometimes, they'll just randomly pick one of the trial reads for full translation, but it'll usually pretty soon after its tr week. I don't know all of their criteria, but that's how the process works.

I actually can wait for the voted book to finally begin translating (have 2-3 that has been in voting mode for MONTHS) but what scares me is when you get invested in the novel and it ends abruptly (like what? that's it? no follow or conclusion?) or worse is that it is put on hiatus. I also wish they have the information on how many chapters to expect or is it an ongoing type of novel....

that's why I check the comments for raws. that way you can tell if they're ongoing, finished, or (as has happened to me) you get a couple hundred chapters in and find out the author dropped the novel at chapter 1400-something.

This reminds me of another story where the fiancé didn’t show up in time for the marriage and she was forced to find another person to marry or end up with a random person or something. She got together with some war hero/prince who had a case of amnesia and was going through some susceptible period by accident. Instead of mechs she was a chef and was bringing back real food to the interstellar era. This is slightly different but the other seemed better written.
