I agree that the MC is a good guy which is clearly mentioned in the tags but calling him guard dog because of that is going overboard. if someone is attacking your house to murder everyone inside you would be so grateful if someone like this was there but here you have a problem with it.

if he wants to protect humanity by simply being in the right place at the right time, he's not a dog. But if he actively goes after the kaiju just to defend humanity, he's a dog. I haven't read the story, but just reading the reviews doesn't feel well for me. A guy doesn't have to be a jesus to have a good moral compass. In reality, he just needs to meet his wishes, which, like a turtle, would be: eat, sleep, reproduce and evolve. Now babysitting humans, who are likely to attack you out of fear, sounds pretty ridiculous to me too.
