The romance in this novel is actually slow-paced, and as it is not the main theme of the novel, so this would not be the priority and would just develop naturally. Additionally, I am going to feature different couples aside from the protagonist and the heroine, but there is no harem for the protagonist as he is already resolute about his feelings since childhood (a minor spoiler). Although, there's a bit of unrequited love involved, the protagonist's feelings won't be dettered. So yeah, NO HAREM.

I came into this book when hunting for books with #Historical tags. When I read the prologue, I wasn't anticipating much, but little did I know it would hook me. I enjoyed the novel's depiction of war preparations, as well as the realistic description of topography and defensive fortifications. I also admire how meticulous you are when it comes to details. I felt sorry for the peasants harmed by the battle, which is fantastic because I enjoy a scenarios that allows me to get part of it. I am just looking forward to seeing the outcome of the impending conflict. [img=proud]

Amazing novel. Intriguing story, wonderful writing quality, colorful battle scenes. None of those BOOM BAM SLASH SHING Abominations in battles. Reminds me of an actual book, which is why I love it. But I have to warn, that if you can not handle discriptive novels (not the one, where everything explained in dialogues, but where narrator is a majority of storytelling), then you might want to skip this. But I still encourage you to try it out, since this novel is wonderful
