privilege is just to support the author's for their work.. Is not necessarily compulsory but writing a lovely book isn't easy, that's why it on privilege

exactly if the author doesn't want his/her readers to continue reading why not just stop I mean all the stories I have been reading so far doesn't need gold coins to continue then why is this different

Privilege is a feature that allows readers to access advanced chapters early. You pay more coins to read the author's stockpiles of chapters that haven't been released yet. You can still read without privilege. :D
