I thought the story was great in the beginning but then it got progressively worse as I kept reading I mean come on making the world revolve around him I read so many books like that and what the all have in common not many people like it

but it doesn't revolve around the MC, it very much moves without him as he plays catch-up, just because details are revealed later and people act like people and talk about it doesn't mean the world revolves around him
