And because she lost a bet against that purple-haired elegant lady with braided hair, she ended up with an unrelated cheap mom. Her cheap mom was obsessed with swords and had no time for her. Just when Yue Zaiying thought she had become a happily reclusive and beautiful waste under her real aunt and the elegant lady, an unexpected event occurred. She used the Water Breathing technique to slay an incredible individual, amidst a chorus of praise for her "martial arts genius." Before Zaiying could modestly respond, her cheap mom whisked her away. "You're supposed to be my daughter, yet you're using water element? No, from now on, I'll teach you the Divine Eye." One misstep leads to eternal regret. Zaiying couldn't express her tears; she could only embark on refining her martial arts in a carefree new world. Of course, if her uncles and aunts didn't cheer on her mom to learn cooking, resulting in her becoming the designated taste tester every day, she believed she would still be happy. In her luckiest life thus far, she encountered that blank slate-like young boy. "We'll be companions from now on." She extended her hand to the bewildered boy and narrowed her eyes, saying, "Please take care of me, little puppet."

The strange device extracts soul fragments of the defeated monsters, then merges them with the user's own soul gifting them with the ability of the corresponding monster, if they are compatible, of course, --- --- --- Many years after the development of the link, humanity is in a struggle against a newly raising power, a lich king, named sans. Fortunately, for them, they manage to defeat him, gaining a large part of his powerful soul. Deciding to be cautious, they implant the soul into the one with the most compatibility, that being a little girl that has seemingly had a 100% affinity for undead souls. In hopes of being able to make a powerful weapon out of the girl they are unconcerned with the backlash of the implant, blinded by their excitement resulting in the girl's demise, or so they thought. --- --- --- "Why do I.... hear megalovania?" mutters a little girl, waking up in a mountain of corpses.
