The synopsis says ridgid social norms. That’s funny. Because what your described is the normal social norms in real life but flipped. But when it’s a man that it’s affecting it’s ridgid but when it’s a woman it’s normal.

I wasn't saying men aren't treated bad in society. And I wasn't trying to point finger at who gets treated worst. All I was pointing out was that if you feel for the MC you'll understand how it is for some women in society. If you look at the book as whole it did a swap so both sides can understand each. Women will see how it is as a man when their looked at to provide for the family and that people (some not all people) only look at how much you have and their true worth. And men will see how it is to be a woman when their(once again not everyone) looked at to arm candy and to take care of house and children. The list can go on for both sides. It's my fault for not clarifying properly.

Not sure if it will make you feel for some women in society because it's not really an accurate depiction of our current society. Definitely a bit of a hyperbole and/or an exaggeration. But then that could be their purpose to bring attention to the issue? Not sure really...all in all kind of got bored of it as a result as it was more irritating then thought provoking, at least for me.

Ya it is an extreme take...to be fair I live in the west so maybe this is what it's like in China. I wouldn't know as I don't live there.

But you gotta admit that it feel weird seeing males treated like this. I'm not saying that treating women like this is OK but it still feels weird and overly exaggerated.

you seem to think that this is effecting only one side and not the other. I've only read the synopsis, but at least here it is already showing the negative effects to both sides. What I'm not sure of is whether or not it can show the positive effects, but the reality is that it simply doesn't work to flip the roles. Biology plays more of a factor in how these things have come to be and continue to be than most people want to admit. Which honestly I'm fine with, because it is generally good for everyone to try to find ways to reduce the negative impacts to each.
