When i first picked this novel, i just wanted a light read, something to take my mind off some problems, but holy cow, that escalated quickly. I read about 190 chapters and it keep you hooked. At first, all was good, money kept flowing, power ups here and there, and overall, a good novel. But then, all got nasty, zombie apocalypse, people dying, countrys overrun by flesh eating mutants, global panic, all the good stuff, everywhere except the mc base, where everything is still peaceful. This novel lets you see the other side of the coin. Until now, almost every work lets you see the struggle of the ordinary man, who battles hunger, zombies, other humans. But not this novel, this one lets you see the struggle of the government, who tries desperately to save as many people as they could, and it is honestly a bit refreshing. As for the not so good things about this novel is the time frame in which everything happens. it is little over 3 months (100 days), the mc has a massive change in personality, going from a broke construction worker to a tycoon who commands hundreds of thousands of peoples, have massive military prowess, and is somehow able to command them to a point where his power rivals a whole country, all while managing to hide his power from the government in fear of being labeled as an extremist who tries to usurp the leading power. Another weak point about this novel is character design. the mc is so poorly designed that he feels like a puppet who just goes with the flow. There is no emotional development, Arlan Roa is the same dude from start to finish, always good at talking to very important people, even though he was just a construction worker just a week ago. Where the author kinda managed to put some emotions in his mc, is when he meets his parents and started to cry because he managed to give them a better life, but except that, a lifeless puppet. Overall, a good novel, maybe a little bit more romance, but a good novel nonetheless. I hope the author gets it to at least 500 chapters, it has potential for at least that many. Again, a wonderful novel, definitely going to stick to it, and i hope it doesn't get dropped.P.S.Some extra chapters about important side caracters are more than welcomed, i would love for some development in that area.
