Very uninteresting. Yes, that's the word that came to mind, I initially had the expectation that Mc would be born in Japan and train in martial arts, ninjutsu, and so on for several years and then go straight to America because his parents had work to do. At least the plot is more interesting if we don't follow the straight line of canon and create a more interesting background rather than bragging to someone else that he is someone who can see the future.
