Am sure if I stick to this novel, I will end up feeling stupid. Hate it when the FL just let herself be a pushover and just claims it as laziness. Having an ugly physique for being fat, she really does not take care of herself. She’s also a not-so-intellegent one. So how can that be interesting?

I'm reading the original. She's not a pushover. She lives in her head, is lazy, and is an orphan so she's long been used to ignoring what others have to say. They don't matter, so she doesn't even listen when they're talking. It gets hilarious because lotuses are berating her for an hour but she is reading or gaming on her phone and hasn't paid attention to a single word. She bites back, hard. When psycho ML gets upset to find a lotus harassing her and asks how she'd like the lotus to be punished, she chooses pulling out teeth with pliers and making them kowtow on a cement warehouse floor until foreheads are bleeding. It's a rebirth dark comedy. I'm alternately disgusted by the ML who suffered a brain injury and has lost the ability to feel love, empathy, or remorse or laughing at the various novel ways in which mean people get what they deserve.
