Yep, he will walk on the gray line. But he's not against helping others if there're benefits to be had or if they are people he care about, he wouldn't mind landing a hand but only if it wouldn't be perilous to him, like... This Leylin wouldn't save George if he were to mess up with an official Magus. Too much trouble and a high chance of death is out of the question for him.

I see, I just wanted to make sure he wasn't the good guy who saves them all. I've read too many fanfics like this, keep it up, I'm waiting to see how you'll develop it further

You said you're not doing a repeat of og but isnt that exact the personality of leylin from og? he was not evil or good, he was mostly neutral and not aversed to helping someone if it doesnt harm his interest.

Leylin did do some really evil things for his own sake when he probably didn't need, especially with his AI. If anything, Leylin is the middle ground between a neutral Gray character and a chaotic evil one.
